Urbanscapes 2009 was one hell of an experience. I remember being there last year with Izzat, Praveen, Fie, Jack, and having such an amazing time; and this year I get to be part of the team that was organizing it. Spending 16 hours at KLPAC was nothing short of exhausting, but at the end of the day, it was really great to see so many people enjoy themselves.
Mmm, Mom bought durian from the pasar malam and we brought them all to grandma's place. She was so happy to see what we brought and quickly sprung from her chair (despite her old age) and opened the door for us. We then proceeded to stuff our faces with the yummy fruit while we watch TVB drama. Grandma asked is that how I dress to go to work (tshirt, shorts with leggings inside) and I said yeah! See? I even wear flipflops!
Many have said they missed me ever since I've privatized my Vox, but fear not, I barely updated 2 posts before I abandoned the blog. Life has been treating me good these few months, I have been maturing these months.
This blog is now private. Well, most of its posts anyway ;)
The photography bug has bitten me again. Thank goodness, I'm glad that I'm back to where I've always wanted to be. I got angry this morning and decided to cool off (but it was blistering hot outside) by taking pictures. Sweating and frowning to get the lens focus on what I want was the exact medication I needed.
I have to conduct tomorrow's Sunday session, I'm nervous, very nervous.
It's stupid for you to think that everybody's just gonna let it go. You wish, you wish alright.
Laughter and tears of joy were their way of expressing the unbelievable and indescribable sense of achievement. All these few months, I told them, on the last day of camp, you will have this feeling that you feel like you accomplished the hardest task in the world. I'm sure they were skeptical at first, but it all came true on the 21st.
I'm glad the participants had such a great time, already asking for the next camp. All our hardwork paid off, it still seems unbelievable to me that it all came true...

Respect your elders.
Don’t expect anyone else to support you.

have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse;
but you never know when
either one might run out.
Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those
who supply it.
Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it
is a way of fishing the past from the disposal,
wiping it off, painting
over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth.
But trust me on the sunscreen…

Simon's this friend I got to know from Fie and got to know him while we were drinking at Chin's party. Anyway, he studies at Legenda along with Fie & gang; and now wanted to earn some part-time cash by cooking for people! If you have an occasion, by it special or casual, and you want to treat your loved ones to a meal; but you don't want to go through the trouble by yourself - I really suggest you give him a call. He can whip up almost anything in the world! :D
